So here comes YardRat~
who is a furry fandom. (Actually I always suspect that this sentence would be too mild, but let’s just go on. )
Here are YardRat’s goals in recent future (undergraduate years):
A girlfriend: No explanation needed here I guess. This section might stay pretty empty for now—don’t expect updates on something that’s not quite real yet.
An outlet: The term “outlet” here means a direction post-graduation, currently with two potential paths
Ph.D. offer: Often seen as a gateway to academia, tenure-track roles, and research positions in industry. YardRat, with a passion for research, considers a Ph.D. offer a key outlet.
A job offer: An IT job promises solid income and (often) fewer working years, which aligns with the goals of a FIRE enthusiast (Financial Independence, Retire Early). YardRat sees this as another fulfilling outlet after graduation.
An established interest thesis: A formal term for ‘hobbies’ (at least for YardRat himself). If you’re curious why it’s called a ‘thesis’, you might find the answer on the main page. YardRat’s areas of interest include:
Foreign Language
English (under construction)
German (TODO)
Japanese (TODO)
Drama Direct (TODO)
Philosophy (under construction)
ACGN (under construction)
Other Fun Stuff (under construction)
There’s a lot to share, but for now, I’m still debating what to post here. Don’t expect updates too soon.
This section will track YardRat’s latest update progress.
Gonna fill up the blog later on.
Working on a dragon-dance drama directing & performing. Would possibly post the script on this site later.
Working on a psychology paper about ASD and children social development. Would possibly post the paper on this site, but not quite soon, so don’t expect it.
Enjoying Katana: Zero recently, perhaps would consider produce some reviews about it.
Why do you call yourself ‘YardRat’? Does the nickname mean something?
Yes, absolutely. I guess anyone of you who had meet me in person before would figure out that it’s just sharing the same abbr. with my name. And why did I choose ‘Yard’ and ‘Rat’? I don’t really remember. It was during my junior high years when I came up with this stuff, perhaps for ‘Rat in Yard’?
How did you get into furry fandom?
Well…It was when I was still a junior high graduate, I come across some furry animes or something alike (at least we can determine that it was furry fandom), and then found myself a total furry fandom. I cannot really recall something special about the progress, but I really hope that everyone reads here go check the website furscience, and read a bit more about how furry fans found themselves furries.
