In the absence of a story, I am left to write myself as the metaphor of myself.
Oops … didn’t notice you just now. Welcome to YardRat’s personal blog!
So here’s Yardrat, currently an undergrad student majoring in CS(computer science) at ZJU(Zhejiang University). If you wanna grasp a sketch of him, I guess the following FAQs could help.
Q1: What are your passions?
A1: Well, about ‘passions’ - to be honest, I don’t really think that an undergrad student, starting from scratch, could really found something worth calling a ‘passion’. But if I name one, I guess it would be ‘AGI(Artificial General Intelligence)’. Sure it’s a distant dream, but why not dream something fantastic?
Q2: Then why did you choose CS?
A2: Well…I chose CS ever since my senior high years, but walked through a quite path quite far from straightforward to CS. Initially, I was admitted into the General Info-Engineering Program, dreaming for a CS major, but failed the first round of major selection and ended up in BME(Bio-medical Engineering). However, I didn’t give up, and in the second round, I made it through - 32 people fighting for 6 spots. It was a bit of detour, but I’m happy with how things turned out. You can check out major for more details about this journey.
Q3: Happy to hear that, so what about your next step?
A3: Despite that working in the field of BME might indicate a career path where you work on FURRY ONEESAN VIRTUAL LOVE BRAIN CHIP (which really stuns), I still would enjoy a career that leads me toward some research work concerning computer science. And as an undergrad student, I guess my next steps are to maintain a satisfying gpa, to involve in research, ~~to get myself a girlfriend, ~~ and so on.
Q4: Then, what about your hobbies?
A4: Emm…I kinda hate a binary classification for things: these’re ‘hobbies’ and those’re ‘works’, and whatever. Instead, I’d rather prefer a model about ‘projects’ and ‘dashboard’, where you pick up ‘project(s)’ and gain development in your ‘dashboard’. And when it comes to what’s on my todo-project-list, I think it would be furry-fandom, psychology, philosophy, foreign-languages, ACGN(anime, comics, games, and novels), Haruki Murakami, etc.(for your info, I might work on a set of posts about my ‘projects’ later)

Well, I’m the kind of person who needs a visible timeline to see where things are going. This blog serves as a personal logbook, a place to track my thoughts, ideas, and the growth of my interests. It’s not just about “recording progress,” it’s about reflecting on the journey and figuring out where I’m headed next.
I have a lot of interests, and sometimes it’s nice to have a space where I can throw them all together. From AI and CS to anime and philosophy, I don’t want to leave any of them out. By sharing here, I hope to spark some interesting discussions with like-minded people, or at least get a few cool ideas bouncing around.
Another reason? ‘Gotta have a spot to dump some links from fellow bloggers’ sounds alike.
And it’s worthy pointing out that, they don’t even bother to dump my link on their blog. :(
Latest update: some of them finally spared a bit of their empathy and dumped my link. :) Check out Everything about Friend Link to find more about this.

Version Control with Git: To manage the blog content, I use Git for version control. This allows me to track changes and keep backups of all my posts. All updates are committed and pushed to GitHub, ensuring that the blog remains synchronized with the repository.
Content Management: New posts are added as individual Markdown files in the repository, which makes managing and organizing posts easy. Each post has its own dedicated file, and they are automatically rendered on the website using GitHub Pages.
Overall, this approach focuses on simplicity and efficiency, providing a seamless way to document my thoughts and share them with the world.
